(Cockermouth 9 miles, Egremont 5 miles)
Directions from Cockermouth
At the Cockermouth roundabout take the exit signposted Egremont
Continue on this road for approx 8 miles
On entering Rowrah turn immediately right after the humpback bridge.
Directions from Workington
At Lillyhall roundabout take the exit signposted Branthwaite
Continue for approximately 2 miles
Take the right exit signposted Asby
Continue on this road to Rowrah
At the bottom of the hill turn immediately left
Directions from Whitehaven
Follow signposts to Cleater Moor
Turn left onto Bowthorn Road, towards Frizington
At Frizington turn left at the junction signposted A5086 to Cockermouth
Keep on this road, entering Rowrah, carry on down the hill (passing Edgars garage on your right) and keep straight ahead until you arrive at Birketts
